Ohana College Staff

Sarah Hann is the Assistant Principal of Distance Education at Arcadia College. She is passionate about providing a supportive, positive environment with a focus on providing quality online education. Sarah believes all students deserve the opportunity for an education, whether it is in a physical classroom or an online platform.

Sarah's educational journey began in New Zealand with a Bachelor of Education (Teaching). Sarah has experience working with disengaged youth and a variety of different cultural backgrounds in New Zealand. She is committed to nurturing not only academic excellence but also the social and emotional well-being of all students.

As part of her role, Sarah ensures that quality and engaging education is delivered to all students in their homes. Sarah is dedicated to ensuring that all students feel valued and supported in an inclusive online community.

Outside of her professional life, Sarah enjoys watching and playing sports and spending time with friends and family.

Carly is committed to creating supportive and engaging learning environments that foster academic achievement while also promoting students’ social and emotional growth. Carly believes in meeting students at their individual points of need, adapting learning experiences to support diverse abilities and building positive relationships that encourage students to succeed.

Her teaching journey has been shaped by extensive experience working with children and young people across a variety of contexts, including supporting disengaged youth. In residential care and youth justice These experiences have provided Carly with a strong understanding of how trauma, neurodiversity and cultural diversity influence learning. She is passionate about applying this knowledge to create inclusive classrooms where all students feel valued and capable of success.

Outside of her professional role, Carly connects with her Dharug culture, enjoys long-distance running, spending time with her family and listening to music.

Natalie Bolger is the Senior Deputy Principal of Ohana College. She is passionate about creating an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student feels valued and can find their own success.

Natalie trained to teach in the United Kingdom and holds a Master of Educational Leadership and Management as well as a Graduate Certificate in Trauma-Aware Education. Having worked in a number of special assistance schools, Natalie is experienced in working with young people with diverse needs and those who have become disengaged from traditional schooling. She is passionate about identifying barriers to learning and helping young people navigate and overcome those challenges so they can re-engage with education and enjoy positive learning experiences.

Outside of her professional life, Natalie enjoys scuba diving, travelling, video gaming and musical theatre.

 


Aaron Devine is a leading education executive, with over 20 years as a senior leader of some of Australia’s largest and most innovative educational providers.

Aaron is committed to supporting students achieving their goals and in seeking to ensure all students have access to quality education irrespective of social, emotional or financial barriers.

Aaron is a respected Educational consultant working in tertiary and school education. Until October 2016, Aaron led TAFE Queensland Brisbane in the role of General Manager. Aaron was also the Chief Executive Officer for the Gold Coast Institute of TAFE, and Pro Vice Chancellor at Charles Darwin University. He worked as a Solicitor in Victoria where he practiced in Commercial Law, Civil Litigation and Employment Law. Aaron served as a Senior Adviser to the former Premier of Tasmania, the Hon Jim Bacon AC and Senior Policy Adviser to the Paul Wriedt MHA when he was the Tasmanian Minister for Vocational Education and Training.

Tahlia Lasczik is the Executive Principal for Ohana for Youth, bringing extensive expertise across education, psychology, the arts, and student wellbeing. She holds a Bachelor of Education (Secondary), a Bachelor of Behavioural Studies (Psychology), and a Master of Forensic Mental Health. She is also a Doctoral Candidate at Southern Cross University, where her research focuses on School Improvement through the Arts.

Tahlia drives educational leadership across the organisation, overseeing the Principals of Ohana College, Arcadia College, and Arcadia Distance Education to ensure cohesive, high-quality learning experiences for all students. She leads the people, systems, and pedagogical frameworks that underpin strong student outcomes and works closely with the Executive Team to support strategic and sustainable organisational growth.

A strong advocate for flexible, student-centred education, Tahlia is committed to cultivating school cultures where staff feel supported and empowered to deliver innovative learning programs. Her leadership continues to strengthen program quality, enhance student wellbeing, and expand opportunities for young people across the Gold Coast.

Outside of school, Tahlia is an accomplished Country Music artist who regularly performs at venues across the Gold Coast. She has also toured and recorded in Tennessee, USA.

 

Fiona Duncan is the Chief Operating Officer for Ohana for Youth, encompassing Arcadia College and Ohana College, bringing over 16 years of senior leadership experience across operations, HR, and organisational development. In her role, she oversees the systems, people, and processes that enable the organisation to deliver high-quality education and youth services, working closely with the Executive Principal and CEO to drive strategic and sustainable growth.

Known for her strong operational rigour and people-centred leadership style, Fiona excels in translating organisational vision into effective day-to-day execution. She is highly skilled in change management, stakeholder engagement, and building cultures where staff feel supported, empowered, and aligned to shared goals.

Fiona is deeply committed to improving outcomes for young people on the Gold Coast. Through her operational leadership, Arcadia College and Ohana College continue to strengthen program delivery, enhance student support, and expand their positive impact across the community.

Jenny is the Chief Financial Officer for Arcadia College, Ohana College and Ohana for Youth. With over 20 years of senior financial leadership experience, she has worked extensively across education, not-for-profit, and corporate sectors. Jenny holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Griffith University and is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA). In her role, Jenny leads financial strategy, corporate governance, payroll, and budgeting. She has significant experience in both school and higher education environments. Jenny is known for her clear and strategic approach to financial management, strong governance skills and commitment to sustainable growth. Jenny is passionate about supporting youth-focused programs. She believes that responsible financial stewardship plays a vital role in enabling schools and organisations to deliver meaningful outcomes. Her leadership helps ensure that resources are effectively managed to benefit students and the wider community.
