Our Board of Directors
Aaron Devine is a respected education and board executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in Australia's top educational institutions. He's dedicated to student success, ensuring equitable access to quality education for all, regardless of their circumstances.
Aaron's expertise spans both tertiary and school education. He led the establishment of TAFE Queensland Brisbane with over 40,000 students was the CEO of the Gold Coast Institute of TAFE, and led Charles Darwin University and the Drysdale Institute to Training Provider of the Year. His background also includes legal experience as a Solicitor in Victoria, specializing in Commercial Law, Civil Litigation, and Employment Law.
Aaron has held key advisory roles in the Tasmanian government, serving as a Senior Adviser to the former Premier of Tasmania and Senior Policy Adviser to the Minister for Vocational Education and Training.
Aaron is highly regarded for his governance and leadership skills and his expertise is regularly sort in his role as a non-executive director.
Trina is a well-respected business owner of the L & M Group of Companies and an experienced, qualified non- executive director with a background in training, education, sport, employment, retail and governance (BHMS, GMQ,FAICD JP (Qual)).
Trina’s business interests are located on both the Gold and Sunshine Coasts and Wollongong. Highly sought after for both her business and governance acumen, she is on the board of TAFE Qld, is the past Chair and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Gold Coast committee. She is also Chair of Ohana for Youth and the Spot Academy; Trina sits on the board of The Gold Coast Sporting Hall of Fame and Sports Gold Coast. Trina co-founded Women in Power to mentor other women and is a member of the Qld Government’s Mentoring for Growth.
Trina’s volunteering has seen accolades as an Outstanding Volunteer to the Indigenous Community and has received a 20 year Leadership Award from the City of Gold Coast. She is an avid advocate for youth education and development and Gold Coast sport and business.

Michael Sing is a senior legal practitioner and a partner in a Brisbane law firm. He has experience in a wide range of areas of law including property and commercial law, banking and finance, insurance and risk management business transactions, employment matters and commercial dispute resolution.

Tammy is a multi-degree holder with IT project management experience for large corporations both national and international. She is the business owner of Beltec that has been operating since 2003 and Tammy is passionate about women in trades.

She is one of the founding members Women in Power Association and also the first female Councillor elected to the Master Electricians Board. She also has extensive knowledge across the VET education sector including teaching and employing apprentices to now holding seat on the East Coast Apprenticeships Board and the Queensland Electrical Safety Office Education Committee.
Glenda McGregor is an Associate Professor in the School of Education and Professional Studies at Griffith University, Brisbane and a long-standing member of the Griffith Institute for Educational Research (GIER).
Glenda McGregor is an Associate Professor in the School of Education and Professional Studies at Griffith University, Brisbane and a long-standing member of the Griffith Institute for Educational Research (GIER). She is currently Director of the Master of Secondary Teaching program. She recently completed five years as Deputy Head of School, Academic. Glenda’s research interests include sociology of youth, alternative/democratic/flexible schools, pedagogy and curriculum and, social justice and education. She has researched in this field for over a decade and her books include, Re-imagining Schooling for Education: Socially Just Alternatives, (McGregor et al., 2017) published by Palgrave Macmillan. Glenda is currently the lead chief investigator on a $154,060, Australian Research Council Linkage Grant, [LP190100398] Supporting teachers and teaching in flexible and non-traditional schools, in partnership with: the Australian Association for Flexible and Inclusive Education [AAFIE]; YouthInc SA; and Community Learning Ltd.’s Jabiru College, Queensland. She is also a Chief Investigator on a second successful Australian Research Council Linkage Grant, [LP210100098] Constructing a rich curriculum for all: ‘Insights into practice’, with the Department of Education Queensland.
